Must I unclothe completely? Undergarments are not necessary, however, if you prefer, you may choose to wear your undergarments or bathing suit. Keep in mind, our Spa Therapists are trained to drape towels and sheets discreetly, to ensure your privacy is protected at all times. Disposable panties are also provided.
May I wear make-up? You are welcome to wear make-up, however, before certain treatments it may be removed. Please feel free to freshen up after your treatment in our lavatory.
May I ask the Spa Therapist to adjust certain things to increase my comfort? YES. This is your time, and you should enjoy the entire experience. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make it more pleasurable for you. (example: temperature of room, pressure during massage, pillows, music, etc.) Please do not wait until after your appointment to discuss your concerns as our therapists are professionally trained to make any adjustments that you may require during your service.
Should I alert my Spa Therapist if I have any physical ailments, disabilities or allergies? Absolutely. In particular, if you have high blood pressure, diabetes, allergies (especially nuts), or are pregnant. Please notify us so that we can accommodate you in a special way.
Should I shave my legs before a treatment? Please refrain from shaving your legs 24-48 hours before any spa body treatments. We want you to be as comfortable as possible and shaving may cause a burning, itchy feeling.
How far in advance should I book my appointment? You should book your appointment approximately 2 - 3 weeks in advance for daytime appointments, 6 - 8 weeks in advance for evening appointments, and 10 - 12 weeks in advance for weekend appointments. We also have a cancellation list which we can put your name on, and will call you if we receive any cancellations. Large parties should be up to 3 months in advance to avoid dissapointment.
About Spa Ahava Our first consideration is your comfort and relaxation. We offer complimentary consultations to familiarize you with all of the services that Spa Ahava has to offer. From the most minor service to the entire day spent with us, Spa Ahava awaits your visit.
Arrival Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled treatment so that we may familiarize you with our facility. Communication is vital to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your visit more enjoyable.
Arriving late will cheat you out of precious minutes from your full treatment. Remember, your treatment will end on time to ensure that our next client is not delayed, regardless of how late you arrive.
Appointment times include the time it takes you to change before and after your service (except for Registered Massage Therapy). Your service will start once you are taken back to your spa treatment room.
Cancellation Policy Out of courtesy to our Spa Therapists, 24 hours notice is required when canceling a spa service. 48 hours notice is required when canceling any spa package or service over two (2) hours. 72 hours notice is required for all group bookings.
When you book a Spa Package, our time is reserved especially for you, therefore, like any fine hotel, we require a credit card to reserve your booking. Your consideration is appreciated. Failure to cancel your treatment within the allotted time will result in a charge of 100% of the treatments booked or the redemption of your gift certificate. No exceptions!
Gratuities Gratuities are not included in the price of our treatments. Please feel free to leave your Spa Therapist a gratuity if you feel they have enhanced your spa experience. Gratuities may be left at the front desk.
Payment Methods We proudly accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Interac, Cash or Spa Ahava gift certificates. We do not accept personal cheques.
Gift Certificates Spa Ahava provides the most memorable gift giving gestures. We will assist you in choosing the perfect gift certificate for that special person. All Spa Ahava gift certificates have an expiry date of one (1) year from the date of purchase. No refunds or cash back on gift certificates. No exceptions. All expired gift certificate monies are donated to the C95 Breast Cancer Radio Marathon.
Children We love children as much as you do, however, please make arrangements for childcare during your service. This will allow you and all other clients to relax and unwind without having to care for your children, and will not disrupt other services.
Cell Phones Cell phones are forbidden in the land of Body, Mind, and Soul. Should you need to have it on please turn it to vibrate mode.

Do I need to wear goggles? Yes. The eyelid is the thinnest membrane of your body, therefore it needs protection against the UV light emitted by any tanning bed. Our goggles shield 99% of the UV rays and are FDA compliant.
What do I wear? Anything. For those tanners who don't want tan lines, going nude is the way to go, however, you must pay extra attention to those areas that normally don't get sun.
Do I need tanning lotion? Whether you are a beginner or an advanced tanner, indoor tanning lotions can help you achieve the tanning results that you are looking for. While providing exceptional care for your skin, lotions will help maximize your tanning results while helping to prevent burning, skin dehydration, and the appearance of wrinkles. Please refrain from using outdoor tanning lotions or oils in our tanning bed.
Will certain medications affect me if I am tanning? If you are on any type of medication, you may have a reaction to the ultra-violet light. Please consult with your physician or our medication chart posted in the "Sun" room.
